The United Arab Emirates is a country in the middle east. It's best known city is Dubai, though the capital is Abu Dhabi. The country has some of the most modern architecture anywhere in the world, and the grand mosque in Abu Dhabi is an amazing religious building. Photos are by Simon Bond.
